One thing we're V.E.R.Y thankful for is that we had a major blowout on the interstate on the way to see Thomas' sister on Tuesday. Why are we thankful?? Because it occurred while Thomas was with me! Had this occurred while I was alone, who knows what would've happened. A. I would've driven off the road into a ditch and B. I have NO CLUE how to change a flat tire. And this was no standard flat tire my friends....it was a MAJOR BLOWOUT. Add to that the fact that:1. We were on a hill which meant
A. cars were flying over the hill and couldn't see
us until they were practically in our trunk
B. the truck would roll forward every time Thomas tried to get it on the jack.
2. We were also in a construction zone therefore the left lane was marked off therefore cars couldn't move away from us.
Needless to say, I was a basket case. Especially when Thomas asked me to HOLD the truck in place. I immediately informed him that I would most definitely let go if the truck began to roll forward. Eventually we moved into the marked off left lane which ended up working to our advantage. My amazing husband was able to successfully change the tire and we went on our merry way. I am still thanking the Lord that I didn't have to deal with this situation alone.
Other than our major blow out, we have no new news. We will have no certainty about Thomas' future with the Vikings until the end of August/beginning of September. Until then, we covet your prayers as we remain in transition period for the next 3 months.
